Buhari's Wife convoy attacked at Ilorin

The Wives of APC presidential & Vice candidates were reportedly
attacked 16th of march by Thugs alleged to have been PDP members at
Ilorin Kwara State
The women were said to be in Kwara to canvas for support for their
husbands in the ongoing
campaigns. With them also were Kwara State
First Lady, Mrs Omolewa Ahmed, and wife of the
immediate past governor of Kwara State, Barrister
Oluwatoyin Saraki.

According to News Reports the unfortunate incident happened when the
APC convoy was on their way to pay a courtesy visit to the Governor
of the state at government house

The APC Chairman alleged that the plan to attack
the convoy was hatched and executed by a
chieftain of the PDP and his cohorts, adding that
"we have it on good authority that two of the PDP
thugs had been apprehended by the Police."


He also Emphasized the need of adequate and maximum security during this period

The Commissioner of Police, Mr. Salihu Garba,
confirmed the incident but said only one vehicle
was vandalised by hoodlums.
